Arctic Iced Coffee – The Beans
We’re always working towards bringing you the best products we can. Both in terms of taste, and quality. This is one of the many reasons we always use sustainable and responsibly sourced coffee beans.
Until 2020, Arctic Iced Coffee has been made using fresh British milk and Fairtrade Coffee beans to bring us the coffee we know and love. From 2020 the coffee beans that we use in our blend will change from being Fairtrade to Rainforest Certified coffee beans. You’ll see the logo has been updated on our packs and the recognizable Rainforest Alliance frog symbol now sits proudly on the front of our Arctic Coffee cartons.
Why Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee Beans?
100% of the coffee used in Arctic Coffee now comes from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms, helping protect wildlife, the environment, farmworkers, and their families. Arctic Coffee is made in a dairy so we understand how important it is to work with farmers, wherever they are in the world. Working towards a more sustainable future by positively encouraging responsible practices that support the planet is so important to us all.
The Rainforest Alliance coffee program is working towards a more sustainable coffee sector. In 2018, more than ten percent of the global coffee production was Rainforest alliance certified coffee certified. Certified coffee is grown in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard which consists of a wide range of good agricultural practices and rigorous social and environmental criteria. These include requirements for the farm’s productivity, conserving biodiversity and natural resources as well as improving the wellbeing of farmers, workers, and their families.
Arctic Iced Coffee Taste
We’re really pleased to be supporting the great work that Rainforest Alliance are doing and are proud to use their certified coffee beans in our Arctic Iced Coffees. You shouldn’t notice any difference in the delicious taste of your Iced Coffee, just a new frog addition to the front of our packs. Still made with fresh British milk and responsibly sourced coffee beans – and still the best tasting iced coffee on the market! Well, we think so anyway!
